I am P.M.
My name is Stefan Dobrevski, painting and the arts have been an integral part of my entire life. I was born in 1974. Now I live and work in Kristiansand, Norway. This is also where my studio is located, where I paint at every possible moment.
In the different sections of this site you can see many of my paintings that I have painted over the years and are now part of a collection. In the “VELG” section are the paintings that you can choose for yourself or as a gift.
I started painting at a very young age, and since the age of 8 I have been attending various drawing lessons and courses. I draw with both hands. I graduated from a design school. Throughout my military service, I had a studio in the unit and creative engagements on orders from the army leadership. At the very beginning of my creative career, I then made, also on order, shallow wood carvings on various bases for hunting trophies according to the wishes of the customers of a chain of hunting equipment stores. My strong desire to perfect the techniques and the different styles in which I work motivates me to actively attend many different courses with different drawing teachers until now.
Probably the multi-layered illusions and collages are one of my most recognizable paintings. I really like to embed hidden images, motifs, details, elements and messages that are gradually revealed to the audience after careful observation and sometimes quite long contemplation of my paintings. This is something that is also liked by the people who choose them for themselves or as a gift. I try to make the messages I leave in these paintings highly emotional, but sometimes they are provoked by social, public and even secular trends and events.
I like to paint both dynamic sea scenes with huge waves, sailing ships, sea battles and storms, as well as many detailed landscapes and buildings that create an atmosphere of calm, coziness and frozen in time beauty. Portraits and crazy heads also often fill my canvas.
In my portfolio you can see mixed techniques, watercolor, oil paints, graphics and my favorite street art on canvas. Woodcarving and miniature ship models are also part of the things I enjoy creating.
My paintings are owned by the Municipality of Brezovo in Bulgaria, the church “St. Dimitar”, also in my hometown, as well as many collectors from Austria, Germany, England, Bulgaria and Norway.
